Product Description:

Replacement solenoids open and close automatic irrigation valves via a 24V connection to your controller. When electricity flows, a stainless steel rod lifts off a bleed hole, allowing the valve diaphragm to open and water to flow. Built with a copper core, insulated lead wires, and waterproof resin casing to protect internal components. Interchangeability depends on the solenoid footprint — check the compatibility chart in images.
Solenoid failure is rare, but replacement is straightforward: turn off the mainline, remove waterproof wire nuts, unthread the old solenoid, thread in the new one, reconnect wires with new waterproof wire nuts, and turn the mainline back on.

Premature Death of a Solenoid.

I acquired this as a replacement for the solenoid on a 57623. The valve was just under a year old, so I was a little anoid the original solenoid failed. We'll see if I get longer service life from the replacement.
