works well for the porous AND the regular 1/4" tubing

works very well for the porous AND the regular 1/4" tubing, although if the sides of the bottom of the stake were serrated it might hold the porous tubing in the soil better. The purchased tubing has a 'memory' which can pull the stake back up.
