XL-Stream® Fire Hose Nozzle

Nice rugged design. Should last a lifetime. When spraying for distance, one of the best nozzles I've ever owned. but if I try to spray anything up close by backing off the spray--the water drizzles out the front and all over my feet. Not sure why this happens but it is quite annoying. I don't see what's causing it, other than the internal design. There are spikes around the circumference of the nozzle that spin when the spray is backed off and the spray is widened. I guess they serve a purpose. Just not sure what they do other than disrupt the spray.

Thanks for the new replacement for my old Fire Hose Nozzle that leaked.
